Cozumel is the largest Caribbean island of Mexico, located 11 miles west of the Quintana Roo mainland coast.  It has an area of 225 mi.² and is covered by thick jungle vegetation and surrounded by rocky shores and beaches of white sand, lagoons and mangroves in the depths of which you can observe in plain sight, an important array of coral barrier reefs corresponding to the Mayan Reef, the second longest

barrier reef in the world, over which several natural reserves have been decreed for their great ecological value, such as the Marine Reef National Park in Cozumel and the Natural Park at Chankanaab, which are favorite for water sports such as scuba diving and ecotourism.
